Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the free tools at tools.thedock.io ("TheDock Tools", the "Service"), operated by DAC Sweden AB ("TheDock", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
2. The Service
TheDock Tools is a collection of free online utilities (such as a UTM link builder, QR code generator, secure note, Open Graph preview, slug converter and word counter) provided by TheDock. No account, signup or payment is required. The tools are provided free of charge and "as is", and we may add, change, suspend or discontinue any tool at any time without notice.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe others' rights.
- Distribute malware, run phishing, spam or fraudulent activity.
- Share content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory or abusive.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated means to abuse the tools or the secure-note API.
We may rate-limit, block or remove content or access to protect the Service and its users.
4. Secure Note — Important Notice
The Secure Note tool is end-to-end encrypted and intentionally "zero-knowledge": we cannot read, recover or restore your notes, and a note is permanently deleted after it is read once or when it expires. It is your responsibility to share the one-time link safely and only with the intended recipient. Do not use it as a backup or storage service, and do not use it to transmit unlawful content.
5. No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. You use the tools at your own risk and are responsible for verifying any output before relying on it.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheDock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service — including its design, branding, code and content — is owned by DAC Sweden AB and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the tools and their output for your own personal and commercial purposes, but you may not copy, resell, rebrand or redistribute the Service itself without our permission.
8. Third-Party Links & Services
The Service may link to or rely on third parties (for example, our hosting provider and, with your consent, analytics). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites or services.
9. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such change.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
